The young Pan has yet to be cast, but will be a boy between 10 and 12 years old.
Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti and Paul Webster are producing. Courtenay Valenti is overseeing for the studio.
The film, which is slated for release on July 17, 2015, is a reimagining of the classic tale, and will present a very different take on the story and its characters, featuring an international cast.
Mara is currently shooting lesbian drama Carol with Cate Blanchett. Her most recent films include Her, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Side Effects and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. She’s repped by WME, Management 360 and Stone, Meyer.
