It was Clarkson's third straight game in double-figures for the Lakers. He scored 16 points against New Orleans and 21 against Toronto.

"I think Clarkson has great explosiveness going to the basket, he has a tremendous pull-up jumper, but the thing about Jordan Clarkson is that he’s always in the right place at the right time," Lakers’ summer-league co-coach Mark Madsen told the Los Angeles Times. "It was a soft-touch tip-in and that got us the win."

Born to a Filipino mother, Clarkson has made it a point to talk up his Philippine ties during interviews. In a video posted by NBA Philippines on its, Clarkson gave a shoutout to Filipino fans following his exploits.
