RIO LINDA-

Residents along 16th and E Streets in Rio Linda have made multiple reports to Sacramento County Animal Control about animal abuse.

“There are 20 horses who are unfed, without water. They roam the street. One of them is dead” one resident told FOX40 anonymously.

Animal control confirmed that the agency checked the property and found two deceased horses. In a statement, a representative told FOX40,

“We responded to a call about loose horses, got the horses corralled and did a site investigation and found two expired horses that hadn’t been disposed of properly. Animal Control posted the property and notified the owner.”
