Griffith University researchers work to save tiny tinker frog

The tiny tinker frog, which measures between one and two centimetres long, is in danger of becoming extinct. Two out of six of the species of tinker are already wiped out.

An amphibian fungus that attacks the skin is believed to be the main threat facing the frogs, which are native to Queensland's forests.

However, researchers at Griffith University have had some success with breeding them in captivity.
