One of Grumpy Cat’s duties as official “spokescat” for Friskies was appearing in June at VidCon in Anaheim, where she launched the brand’s third annual Internet cat video competition, called The Friskies.
"She likes people and the attention," says Lashes of Grumpy's busy schedule traveling to as many as three events a month. "And she likes the camera. When I pull my camera out, she'll look right at me."
A sleeping Grumpy posed with an avid fan. Says Lashes: "It's actually at night that she gets crazy. She'll run around the hotel room."

In the last two years, Grumpy Cat has gained thousands of Twitter followers, written a best-selling book, signed a deal for a TV movie and nabbed a national commercial.
Grumpy begins filming Lifetime Christmas special Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever in Vancouver this August.
"I think that she's the Marilyn Monroe of cats," says Lashes of his star, who travels by plane in a special carrier that hides her from prying eyes.
