On Wednesday’s The Tonight Show, Barbara Walters revealed she had hopes of seducing old crush Clint Eastwood at the premiere of his Jersey Boys.
“I thought maybe! Maybe it’s not too late. I put on the right outfit. The false eyelashes – the whole thing,” she told Jimmy Fallon.

But it wasn’t meant to be: “He was polite. He was courteous. What’s that expression? He was just ‘not that into me.'”
Fallon went on to play a game where contestants were given $100 if they got a question correct… but had their chest hair violently ripped out with waxing strips if they got it wrong.

Eastwood was also the topic of a somewhat uncomfortable conversation between David Letterman and Jersey Boys star, Christopher Walken, who revealed they were both blinded at the film’s premiere.
“There were flashbulbs and I said ‘I can’t see anything,’ and he said, ‘I can’t see anything anyway,'” revealed Walken, whose dry sense of humor had Letterman scrambling to make him open up more, especially when he said he would cut a story about Marlon Brando short.
Six time Tony award winner Audra McDonald was far more chatty with Letterman, but revealed that she wasn’t always so confident in front of an audience. “I had a problem when I first started to perform that I would pass out on stage.”
On Late Night, John Oliver talked about some of his favorite topics on Last Week Tonight. “We’ve covered net neutrality, FIFA, the death penalty.… We do things that you wouldn’t think would be funny!” he told Seth Meyers.
“FIFA is awful but the product they have is amazing. I am unbelievably excited about the next few weeks,” he said, comparing being hooked on the World Cup to a meth addiction on Breaking Bad.

He went on to reveal the heartbreak of being an English football fan, and his education in health and medicine provided by David Beckham‘s past injuries and the England team’s malaria pills.
Bad news for U.S. fans, as Oliver predicted that the national team would win zero out of three games.
