After the World Cup Final captured the nation, Jimmy Fallon was in a sporty mood on Monday.
NFL great and Live! with Kelly and Michael host Michael Strahan made a dig at Justin Bieber when he arrived on The Tonight Show, saying, “He’s been arrested more times than anyone in the NFL.”
After dishing on his hosting duty this week at the 2014 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports awards, Strahan got competitive in a heated game of Catchphrase with Fallon and Diane Kruger.

It’s been a great week so far for The Bridge actress from Germany, as her team won the World Cup on Sunday. Kruger confessed to Fallon that in her homeland The Nanny with Fran Drescher was the biggest show when she was growing up.
On Late Night, Seth Meyers summed up the weekend in sports by saying, “LeBron James went back to Cleveland, Carmelo Anthony went back to the Knicks, and soccer went back to something you drive your kids to.”
Meyers welcomed former Saturday Night Live co-star Kate McKinnon to celebrate her Emmy nomination for best supporting actress in a comedy series as she recalled her sleepless night before the announcement due to a buying the wrong air conditioner.

Pete Rose was also a guest on the show, telling Meyers how baseball has changed since he retired amid accusations of betting on games. “The salaries — they don’t count their money, they weigh it,” he said, admitting, “I am the one that screwed up. I just try to be a good citizen, keep my nose clean and work hard.”
When asked if he would let players from the steroids era into the Baseball Hall of Fame, Rose said yes. “Everybody makes mistakes. Who am I to judge Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds?”
Over on CBS, Kurt Russell and David Letterman were in a party mood as they talked about the actor’s collection of pinot noir wine.
Russell said he works with winemakers in Santa Rita Hills, Calif. “I am their apprentice,” he said. “I am getting better and better at it.”
