More people chose to watch the People’s Choice Awards on CBS this year, though the show was down in the targeted adults 18-49 demo. The two-hour show dropped four-tenths of a point for an average 2.3 rating among adults 18-49. Meanwhile, the show was up nearly 1 million viewers to an average 10.2 million. CBS won the night, taking an average 2.1 adults rating and 8.9 million viewers.

Revolution (1.6 adults) and Law & Order: SVU (2.1 adults) were both boosted on ABC, rising a respective two- and five-tenths of a point. The premiere of Chicago Fire spinoff Chicago P.D. was solid at 10 p.m., averaging a 2.0 rating with adults 18-49 and falling behind only Blacklist in this season’s 10 p.m. premieres. NBC averaged a 1.9 adults rating and 7.8 million viewers.
ABC saw a lift for The Middle (2.2 adults), up two-tenths of a point. A special Super Fun Night (1.5 adults) marked a series low, while Modern Family (3.5 adults) and a regularly scheduled Super Fun Night (1.8 adults) were both even with their last efforts. The network pulled a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 5.95 million viewers over the night.
Fox aired the film Step Brothers to the tune of a 1.2 rating with adults 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers.
And the CW, airing encores, pulled a 0.4 adults rating and 1.1 million viewers.
