SACRAMENTO-
The Sacramento county health department confirmed that 28 people as of Thursday afternoon, were treated in intensive care units for influenza.
“We are urging that everyone get vaccinated,” Dr. Olivia Kasirye said.
The H1N1 flu outbreak can affect anyone, at any stage in life, according to Kasirye, evident in the ages of the swine flu’s latest victims in Sacramento County – 36, 61, 56 and 46.
“The important thing is that the flu shot you get is the right strain. So, whatever flu shot you get will be good,” Kasirye said.
If you notice any flu like symptoms, the county urges you to contact your physician.
“It’s not too late to get the vaccine,” Kasiryesaid.
