Andrew Lazar, Depp, Christi Dembrowski and OddLot’s Gigi Pritzker are producing the project.
Mortdecai, the first project under Lionsgate and OddLot’s co-financing and distribution deal, follows art dealer and part-time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) as he travels the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
Plaza is best known for her role as the sarcastic April in NBC’s comedy Parks and Recreation. Her recent film credits include The To Do List and Safety Not Guaranteed. She’s repped by CAA, The Schiff Company and Schreck Rose.
Platt most recently appeared in X-Men: First Class and Love & Other Drugs. He received a Golden Globe nomination and Emmy noms for his role on Showtime’s Huff. He’s repped by WME and Edelstein, Laird & Sobel.
Goldblum’s credits include Jurassic Park, Independence Day and The Fly. He’ll next be seen in Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel. He’s repped by ICM Partners and Industry Entertainment.
