Steady with last year, the Tony Awards matched the 2013 showing among adults 18-49 — averaging a 1.2 rating. With total viewers, CBS’ telecast averaged 7 million viewers.
The show had especially strong competition on Sunday night. ABC had game two of the NBA Finals, again steady with 2013, averaging a 5.0 rating in the key demo in its preliminary showing. Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night (2.2 adults) also held even. Both shows were enough to easily win the evening for ABC in both adults 18-49 and total viewers.
Miss USA saw slight year-to-year improvement on NBC. After a steady Dateline, the show did inch up a tenth of a point for a 1.4 rating in the key demo.
Over on Fox, the network said goodbye to event series Cosmos (1.1 adults) — off two tenths of a point from the week prior. As for the Enlisted burn-off, the comedy again averaged a 0.4 rating with adults 18-49.
