Nearly a year after news of Phineas and Ferb‘s Star Wars episode broke at Comic-Con, Disney Channel has set its premiere.
Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars will premiere Saturday, July 26, at 9 p.m. Set a few summers ago in a galaxy far, far away, the special finds Phineas and Ferb in a parallel universe during Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
Characters such as Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, C-3PO and R2-D2 will be featured. Phineas and Ferb creators Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh will also make cameos as themselves.

Special voice stars for the animated special are Simon Pegg (C-3PO and Candace’s commanding officer) and MythBusters’ Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman (members of the Empire).
“Dan and Swampy have put their unique spin on the iconic events in A New Hope, and have created fun ways for the characters to interact within the Star Wars universe,” said Eric Coleman, senior vp original series at Disney Television Animation.
A preview of Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars will be available via the Disney Channel WATCH app beginning July 19. The full episode will be re-aired on Aug. 4 at 7:30 p.m. on sister channel Disney XD as part of a Star Wars-themed programming block, followed by an extended look at Star Wars Rebels, which launches this fall.
