The Czech and Slovak division of Russian-German production and distribution shingle A Company has been renamed to bring it into line with the firm’s corporate identity.
EEAP Film Distribution CZ-SK, the Prague-based Czech distribution arm of A Company Filmed Entertainment will now operate as A Company Czech.

The first release for the division, set up in 2011 to handle theatrical distribution of A Company titles in the Czech Repulic and Slovakia, will be local language film Vejska by Tomas Vorel. A sequel to successful local hit Gympl, it will be its the first Czech-made release.
Other films on its 2014 slate include: 3D action feature I, Frankenstein; British comedy The Long Way Down and Robert Rodriguez‘s sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
A Company Filmed Entertainment, headed by Ukrainian-born Russian independent producer Alexander Rodnyansky and Berlin-based German producer Alexander van Dulmen, produces, licenses and distributes movies in central and Eastern Europe, Russia, CIS and Vietnam.
“The decision has been made to unite the names of the subsidiaries of A Company and create a strong single brand on the film market,” the firm said in a statement.
