Amy needs to find someone at Fort Black. She also wants to rescue baby. Amy finally ends up at Fort Black  which is a prison, and ends up claimed by Jacks.

Things aren't all right there. Many people there are getting vaccines. Amy learns more things , and has to make some tough choices. She does end up making new friends, and she does start liking Jacks.

This book was full of action, and many questions were answered about the florae . Amy seemed to be the voice of reason. There is a slight triangle in the end. Amy is smart and sassy and can kick butt with killing Florae.
