This Handy Photo-Editing App Just Got Redesigned And Updated To Version 2.0

January 5, 2014
The feature-rich photo-editing app Handy Photo has just been updated to version 2.0 with a redesigned interface and a number of new features. Of course, the redesigned interface introduced in Handy Photo 2.0 is inspired by none other than iOS 7, with its flat glyphs and translucent effects. On top of its new look and feel, Handy Photo 2.0 boasts a new ability to selectively adjust tone and color using linear gradient mask (with color-picking feature), elliptical gradient mask (with edge-aware application), and masking brush modes (with solid and edge-aware brushes). Handy Photo 2.0 also includes the following additional features:
  • Added ability to partially apply filters and textures
  • Added new textures category: Abstract
  • Added new frames categories: Autumn Leaves, Glass, Grunge, Halftone, Lace, Paint Splashes, Pencil Sketch, Sea Shell, Torn Paper, Vintage
  • Added ability to move/scale textures
  • Added on-screen instructions
  • Added scratches to Old Photo, Sepia, and Vintage filters
  • Improved Sketch filter
  • Added ability to see images formats in gallery
  • Added ability to import files from iTunes
  • Added Reset button
Also including usability improvements and bug fixes, Handy Photo 2.0 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download. It's compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. For more information on Handy Photo, check out our original review of the app here on AppAdvice.
