FORESTHILL-

A 56-year-old man was rescued Monday afternoon along the 7 mile mark of Mosquito Ridge Road in Forest Hill.

According to Cal Fire Captain Scott Evans, the man was working on a construction project with two others 900 feet down from Mosquito Ridge Road when he became dehydrated and could not hike back up. The man’s co-workers went to get help.

“At first, he was reluctant to be air-lifted out of there, but one of the firefighters must have convinced him. Or, maybe he realized there were no other options, he was stuck down there,” Evans told FOX40.

The construction worker was taken to a local hospital, according to Evans, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
