For the second straight week, Fifty Shades of Grey was the most-viewed coming attraction on YouTube, according to technology firm Zefr, which tracks the numbers.
Only three trailers cracked one million views for the week — an unusually low number and an indication of the listlessness in trailer land this month.
The first Fifty Shades trailer recorded 2.7 million views on YouTube. It now has a cumulative total of 59.4 million views.
The debut trailer for Annabelle finished in the second spot with 2 million YouTube views. The teaser for Annabelle also got a boost, rising from No. 16 last week to No. 6 this week with 858,848 views.
This is actually a pretty good trailer for what is clearly a schlocky and campy low-budget horror flick. It sets up the plot well and builds a decent amount of tension. And of course producer James Wan (Saw) gets prominent billing to convey a certain pedigree. Still, no one who sees this coming attraction won’t think its Child’s Play with a female doll.

The film opens Oct. 3.
Also debuting in the top 10 this week was the first trailer for Men, Women & Children, which recorded 867,375 YouTube views to land in the No. 5 spot.
This film has a well-known director (Jason Reitman), a name cast (Ansel Elgort, Jennifer Garner, Adam Sandler) and an intriguing tagline (“Discover how little you know about the people you know”).
The trailer is interesting. It is all atmospheric music and text messages superimposed on a montage of brief cuts of scenes from the movie. But ultimately, the preview falls short. This movie needs a more straightforward coming attraction that is less about mood and more about plot.
The film hits theaters on Oct. 17.
Also of note this week was The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water jumping from No. 11 to No. 4 with 899,570 views, and the Daniel Radcliffe horror movie Horns (opening on Halloween day) rising from No. 12 to No. 10 with 663,613 views.
Horns‘ total is the lowest number of views to make the top 10 in any week so far in 2014.
