SACRAMENTO—

Sacramento Police are looking for a suspect who opened fire on a South Sacramento home, hurting a 14-year-old boy.

According to Sacramento Police logs, officers showed up to the home along N. Meadows Place – near Luther Burbank High School – after getting a report about a person injured in a shooting.

At the scene, officers found that a 14-year-old boy had been hurt. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police found that, just after midnight Sunday, an unknown man knocked at the door of the home. That man soon opened fire, hitting the 14-year-old. The man then sprayed more gunfire into the home as he ran away, but no one else was hurt.

Only a vague description of the suspect was given. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department.
