Mourners will proceed immediately following the service to Mount Sinai Memorial Park, located at 6150 Mount Sinai Dr. in Simi Valley, Calif. Cameras are not allowed at Temple Aliyah or Mount Sinai Memorial Park.
Instead of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Tom Sherak MS Hope Foundation. Donation checks — made out to “The UCLA Foundation” with “Tom Sherak’s MS Hope Foundation Fund #626740” written in the memo field — can be mailed to 5555 Melrose Ave., Dressing Room Bldg. 302, Los Angeles, CA 90038.

The MS Hope Foundation on Wednesday renamed itself in honor of Sherak. “Tom gave us all hope. He continues to inspire us, and we pledge in his memory to continue his fight against MS with equal energy and determination,” said Annis Kishner, president of the board.
The well-liked executive raised $45 million for multiple sclerosis research during his two decades as chairman of the annual MS Dinner of Champions.
Prior to taking over at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Sherak had a long career at Fox and then Revolution Studios as a marketing and distribution executive.
He was named Los Angeles film czar by newly elected mayor Eric Garcetti in September.
