Jimmy Fallon recently hosted The Tonight Show from the Universal Orlando Resort, and now NBC News has taken a trip to the theme park to celebrate the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Diagon Alley.

The primetime special hosted by Meredith Vieira that aired Monday night went behind the scenes of J.K. Rowling‘s magical series to explain the four-year process that went into building the latest theme park incantation.

Included in the sneak peek were cast interviews from the filming of interactive 3D scenes that were shot especially for the fan experience, featuring two of Harry’s archenemies, Lord Voldemort and Bellatrix Lestrange, played by Ralph Fiennes and Helena Bonham Carter.
“Young people will feel that they are actually in it, that they are part of the movie and in the story,” explained Fiennes, who plays He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named in the blockbuster movies. “The physical reality and visual reality around the movie…you can almost reach out and touch it. I think that’ll be something they’ll never forget,” added the now-bearded British actor.
