It was a night of polka, baseball and stripping as Andi Dorfman visited the final four guys’ hometowns on tonight’s The Bachelorette. It also was an emotional episode, as they all found out that Eric Hill, whom Andi had sent home in dramatic fashion earlier this season, died in a paragliding accident.
The episode began in Waukesha, Wis., as Nick took Andi to a brewery then revealed that he’s not the world’s best polka dancer. Nick introduced Andi to his 10 (!) siblings and their framed portraits on the wall. The night’s cutest moment was Nick’s young sister Bella asking Andi myriad questions then promptly forgetting the answers to all of them. Perhaps Bella can teach Nick a lesson or two about being sweet and personable.

Nick, in classic Nick fashion, later told his mom that he’s Andi’s favorite. However, when his mom asked whether Andi makes him laugh, he said she makes him “smile,” which seemed like a measured compliment.
Andi’s date with Chris involved the two of them driving a tractor, as any good date should. Andi clearly had trouble seeing herself in such a remote town as Arlington, Iowa, though Chris hiring a plane to profess his love didn’t hurt. Then, it was time for the “Night of 1,000 Jasons” — OK, so Chris’ family only has two Jasons, but it seemed like a lot — followed by Chris’ mom awkwardly telling Andi that they would have beautiful babies. Pump the brakes, Mom.

Every season seems to have a baseball date — think The Bachelor‘s Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell or The Bachelorette‘s Des Hartsock and Chris Siegfried — and so Andi and Josh kept the tradition alive during his hometown date in Tampa. Andi was a little freaked out about how invested everyone is in Josh’s brother Aaron‘s football career. (Fun fact: Aaron was taken in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.) Ultimately, Andi seemed hopeful that she and Josh could break away from the Aaron fan club.
During their trip to Dallas, Marcus re-created an earlier group date for Andi by stripping for her, and Andi had zero complaints about the show. Marcus has made no effort to conceal his intense emotions, so Andi confided to his sister that she’s worried whether she’ll ever be able to catch up to him. Not a strong vote of confidence for Marcus.

Before the rose ceremony, Andi and her four guys were summoned to host Chris Harrison‘s home, where he shared the tragic news about Hill. Everyone understandably was upset, and Andi lamented that her final conversation on the show with Hill — in which she chided him for saying she had a poker face — was the last time she ever talked to him.
The next night, everyone met for the rose ceremony, though Andi needed an extra minute to compose herself. Finally, Andi chose her final three — Josh, Chris and Nick — with Marcus as the odd man out. Marcus said he felt like an “idiot” and shouldn’t have told her he loved her, though he said he indeed still was in love with her.
Do you think Andi should have cut someone besides Marcus? Did the show handle Hill’s death in the right way? Are you hoping you never have to see Nick do the polka again? Sound off in the comments!
