Congressman John Garamendi (D – 3rd District) says the recent approval of the state water bond is a step in the right direction when it comes to preparation for future drought.

California lawmakers approved a $7 billion bond Wednesday that includes funding for water conservation, recycling and storage systems.

Garamendi also discusses a similar bond proposal at the federal level, that will include more Western states.
