The death of a student during a fraternity pledge event in Pennsylvania has been ruled a homicide, reports CNN.
Chen “Michael” Deng died from blunt trauma to the head during the incident in December, according to the Coroner’s report.
The Baruch College freshman was pledging for Pi Delta Psi when the accident occurred.
The New York university released a statement saying it “supports the ongoing efforts of Monroe County law enforcement to hold responsible those involved in the tragic death.”
Deng was blindfolded trying to make his way towards someone calling him while other members of the Asian American fraternity physically tried to prevent that from happening.
