Everest Base Camp Trek (EBC Trek) is the best-recommended trek in Nepal. EBC Trek is undoubtedly one of the most popular and visited trekking routes in Nepal. It is very crowded in peak season (March to May and October to November). The Everest Base Camp Trek is about an adventurous trail, the ancient cultural heritage of Sherpa, and magnificent and breathtaking high mountains, including Mount Everest. Our 15-day Everest Base Camp Trek package also gives opportunities to visit centuries-old monasteries and spectacular landscapes with their surreal natural beauty.
"Everest Base Camp Trek is an experiencing of remote high altitude lifestyle, testing your endurance and making lifelong memories witnessing Mount Everest and it's spectacular surrouding scenery."
You fly to Lukla airport, a small airstrip in the mountains. It is about 25 to 30 minutes of scenic and pleasant flight with a clear sky. You meet support teams and get ready for your legs to reach the base camp of the tallest mountain in the world. You walk through several villages, crossing big rivers by thrilling suspension bridges, to reach Namche Bazaar, a gateway to Mount Everest. You do an acclimatization hike the following day after you reach Namche Bazaar. The hike offers incredible views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the spectacular landscape.
The following day, you trek to Tengboche Monastery. Tengboche Monastery is one of the biggest and most active monasteries in the Everest Trek. Then, continuously walking ups and downs through dense forests, mani walls, and villages, you reach EBC (5,364 m). It is a wonderful moment for everyone to reach Everest Base Camp, although Mount Everest is not visible. You hike Kalapathar in the early morning to see the sunrise, the massif face of Mt Everest, and the Khumbu ice-fall with glaciers. After achieving your goal to reach Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar, you safely return to Lukla and fly to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu Flight information
The flight to Lukla from Kathmandu is considered one of life's most thrilling experiences; however, the flight is safe. The flights are operated in the morning, and they operate every day. It is about a 25–30 minute scenic flight. The flights might get delayed or cancelled sometimes due to bad or unstable weather at Lukla Airport. In the case of a cancelled flight, the alternative option is a helicopter, but it is a little expensive. It probably costs between USD 450 and USD 600 per person.
Note: The flight to Lukla operates from Manthali Airport (Ramechhap) during the main season (March to April and October to November) due to congestion at Kathmandu Airport.
Namche Bazaar - A Gateway to Mount Everest
Anyone aware of Mt. Everest is no stranger to Namche Bazaar's "A Gateway to Mount Everest." It is located within the Khumbu area at 3,440 meters elevation, populating the sides of a hill. Most Sherpas who are in the tourism business are from the Namche area. Namche is the main trading centre and tourist hub with an army camp, a police checkpost, a bank, and a beauty salon.
Namche Bazaar is popular with trekkers in the Khumbu region, especially for altitude acclimatization. Namche Bazaar is the gateway to the high Himalayas. The town has many lodgings and stores catering to visitors and internet cafes. There are German bakeries, little cafes, and many restaurants. There is also an Irish pub, considered to be the remotest Irish pub in the world. There are many trekking shops, souvenir shops, and even a supermarket. On Saturday mornings, a weekly market is held in the centre of the village.

Things to See in Trek To Everest Base Camp Route
FYI, Mount Everest is not visible from the base camp at the top of the world. But you get to witness breathtaking panoramas of the world's highest mountain. Not only mountains, but you also explore and experience nature's beauty and diverse landscape. You experience the Sherpa cultures, century-old monasteries, flora and fauna in the Everest Base Camp Trek Route.
While trekking to EBC, you encounter nicely curved mani walls, stones, and sacred player flag places. You witness a nice settlement village with farming lands up to Khumjung Village. Khumjung village is known as Green Valley.
The best thing to see is, of course, Mt. Everest from Kalapathar, the highest point of the EBC trek. The view from Kalapathar is incredible, with Mt. Everest, the Khumbu icefall and glacier, and the 360-degree mountain view. Ama Dablam (6,856 m), the most beautiful mountain in Everest Trek, is another highlight object to see.
