STOCKTON-

Stockton Police “strongly believe” they have found the suspect vehicle used to drop off three alleged gang members before Wednesday’s bank robbery, chase and gun battle.

The black Chrysler sedan was found along West Creek Drive, and promptly towed away.

Police say the car dropped off Jaime Ramos, Gilbert Renteria Jr. and Alex Martinez at the Bank of the West branch on Thornton Road around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators are looking for the person who owns or was driving the car.

“We don’t have a description of that driver, just the vehicle,” Officer Joe Silva said. “So we’re asking for the community’s help more than ever, especially on this case.”

The car had Stockton Dodge dealer plates, but the dealership said they don’t sell that brand or even cars that old.

“This driver shares some of the responsibility, so we need to talk to this driver so we can figure out exactly what occurred,” Silva said.
