FRENCH CAMP-

Three inmates escaped the county Honor Farm in French Camp over the past two weeks, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

The first escapee, Matthew Cook, 22, made his escape on April 25th. He was last seen running north through the Honor Farm in French Camp. Cook climbed over the fence and ran away into a field. Cook is currently unsentenced, but was booked by Stockton Police Department on charges of assault on a peace officer, two counts of burglary, attempted burglary, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

Two days later, April 27th, a known accomplice of Cook made his escape as well. The second escapee, Melvin Rasberry, 42, was reported missing after sheriffs performed a formal count of the inmates that evening. He was last seen early that morning in the cafeteria. Like Cook, he was booked by Stockton PD and is currently unsentenced.

The third missing inmate is Blake Walker, 28, and he went missing on Sunday April 4th around noon. A visitor of the farm told an officer that an inmate was getting into a dark colored SUV. The SUV was last seen heading northbound on Wolf Road toward French Camp Road. Walker was booked on charges of forgery, possession of stolen property, burglary, and violations of parole.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cook, Rasperry, or Walker are asked to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office at (209) 468-4400 or “Text a Tip” to “274637” and in the message area type SJSO, a space, and then your tip.
