Kevin Spacey doesn’t believe that the world is really ready for democracy.
That’s not a spoiler for Netflix’s original series House of Cards; it’s simply a summary of the actor’s impressive monologue from the trailer for the next installment in Activision’s Call of Duty video game series, which features Spacey as the voice (and likeness of) the main villain.

Spacey’s involvement with the game was first rumored when the audio of part of Spacey’s monologue leaked online Thursday, followed by Activision’s Call of Duty Twitter account sending out a teaser for a planned Sunday announcement that appeared to confirm Spacey’s involvement:

This was quickly followed by the release of the full trailer for the game, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, apparently moved up due to the Spacey rumors and reports. The trailer — produced by marketing agency Ant Farm — reveals not only that Spacey voices the antagonist of the game — one that appears to be a less southern version of his House of Cards Frank Underwood character — but that the villain’s appearance is clearly modeled after the actor as well.

Spacey is far from the first well-known actor to lend his talents to the Call of Duty franchise; previous releases have featured voiceovers from Gary Oldman, Kiefer Sutherland, Michelle Rodriguez and Timothy Olyphant, among many others.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released November 4. Watch the first trailer for the game below.
