Mill Valley marches on

The Mill Valley majors Little League team kept its perfect record intact by beating Gilroy 4-3 on Sunday during the Northern California Division 2 championships at Cambrian Park in San Jose.

Dylan Reed, who had a two-run single in the second inning, also drove in the go-ahead run on a double to the left-field fence in the top of the sixth to plate Andoni Etcheverry.

Dylan Azcarate pitched 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for Mill Valley (14-0).

Bennett Flynn drove in Mill Valley’s first run to tie the game 1-1 in the second. Tyler Reed had a diving catch in left field and threw out a Gilroy runner at third to keep the game tied at 3-3 in the second inning.
