SACRAMENTO-
The Sacramento Urban Search and Rescue team returned home late Monday night from the site of the Oso, Wash. mudslide.
The crew was assembled to help relief efforts ten days prior. They searched through the 1.3-mile debris field with 10 K9 units from around the country.
Task Force 7 is hosted by the Sacramento Fire Department and includes members from seven fire and medical groups. The team has previously responded to disasters including the Oklahoma City bombing, the Sept. 11 terror attacks in New York, and Hurricane Katrina.
