HBO’s Silicon Valley is locking down scene-stealer Jimmy O. Yang.
The sophomore Emmy-nominated comedy from Mike Judge has promoted the actor to series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Yang appeared in three episodes of Silicon Valley‘s rookie season. His character, hacker house resident Jian Yang, was first introduced in episode three.

He joins a cast that includes Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Amanda Crew, Josh Brener, Matt Ross and season two series regular Rebecca Creskoff (Hung).
Yang’s credits include Criminal Minds and New Girl, as well as the upcoming Battle Creek and DirecTV’s Things You Shouldn’t Say Past Midnight. He’s repped by Aligned Entertainment, Vesta Talent Agency and Cohen Gardner.
