Update:

Police have charged the third person in connection with the July 17 incident. Authorities charged Patrick Embry, 42, of Lebanon, with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct.

Original Story:

A woman is facing multiple charges after she assaulted two Lebanon City police officers while being arrested early Thursday, investigators said.

Jennifer Morris, 30, is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct. She was also cited with having an open container.

Police were dispatched to the 800 block of Mifflin Street around 2:21 a.m. on July 17 for a report of people yelling in the street and carrying open cans of beer. Upon arrival, police asked Morris to calm down–but she refused.

She was taken into custody, but not before kicking two police officers, authorities said.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 25.

Ricky Miller, 48, of Lebanon, was also charged with public drunkenness.

Police say charges are pending against a third person in connection with the incident.
