Armstrong, who played Angela’s mother on ABC’s critically acclaimed teen drama My So-Called Life, has been cast as Daphne’s (Katie Leclerc) formidable pre-med professor. She first appears in the season premiere, which is slated to air in 2015.
Creator and executive producer Lizzy Weiss hinted at Armstrong’s casting on Twitter earlier this month with a cryptic tweet.
