The new season of MTV2’s Nitro Circus Live has a premiere date.
Nitro Circus Live, which features more than 40 of the top BMX, motocross and skateboarding athletes, kicks off its fourth season on MTV‘s sister network with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 11 p.m. ET/PT, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Led by Nitro Circus founder Travis Pastrana, a 10-time X Games gold medalist, the eight-episode Nitro Circus Live follows the crew as they go on tour in cities across the U.S., starting with Boston and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
“We are so pumped to have a whole new season of Nitro Circus Live on MTV2. This show just seems to keep getting bigger every single season, and I can guarantee you that these episodes will blow everyone away,” said Pastrana. “American fans will love this season because we finally bring it back to where it all began, with all the behind-the-scenes footage from our first ever U.S. tour.”
“In this season, the Nitro crew shows us that no matter where they are in the world, they never miss an opportunity to have fun, push the limits and live life to the fullest,” said Paul Ricci, senior vp head of development and production at MTV2.
Nitro Circus: The Movie, a feature film that premiered in 2012, also will make its way to MTV2 on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 11 p.m. ET/PT, one week before Nitro Circus Live begins.
Nitro Circus Live is executive produced by Chris McCarthy, Ricci and Myra Santiago for MTV2. Pastrana, Gregg Godfrey, Jeremy Rawle and Michael Porra are executive producers for Nitro Circus Live PTY, with Trip Taylor and Bobby Pura executive producing for The Uprising Film and Television.
