VH1‘s bet is anything but “tiny.”
Following the success of docuseries T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, the Viacom-owned cable network is moving forward with a spinoff centered on T.I.‘s better half, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, and her outrageous best friend and hairstylist Shekinah Jo.
The unscripted series, which will launch with eight episodes on Oct. 13, is titled Tiny & Shekinah’s Weave Trip. The weekly entry will follow the 4-foot-11 singer-songwriter and her stylist pal on a cross-country road trip to promote their new mobile hair salon business.
Weave Trip is created and executive produced by 51 Minds’ Christian Sarabia as well as WikkedCat Production’s Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov. The series is also being executive produced by VH1’s Susan Levison, Jill Holmes and Kristen Kelly.
It will join a growing slate of strategically loud unscripted series, including recently renewed Candidly Nicole and Dating Naked.
