ARSENAL, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool could all have their summer transfer plans thrown into disarray after Monaco decided to make Colombian striker Radamel Falcao available for transfer this summer.

Radamel Falcao looks set to leave Monaco

Monaco have reportedly already made contact with both Chelsea and Real Madrid to inform them of the new situation.

And while reports earlier today suggested that AC Milan's Mario Balotelli is a possible target for a swap deal involving Falcao, it now seems that the player's availability could have much wider reaching implications.

Indeed, new reports in France suggest that Monaco would also be interested in a swap deal involving Real Madrid youngster Alvaro Morata - who remains a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham.

Real would also have to fork over a substantial amount of cash in the proposed deal and that would rule them out of a possible move for Liverpool's Luis Suarez.

However, it remains to be seen how keen Real are on the 28-year, with Real Sociedad's Antoine Griezmann emerging as a target for the Madrid club in recent days.

Monaco are willing to sell Radamel Falcao this summer

Chelsea could rekindle their interest in the striker, but only if a move for Atletico Madrid hitman Diego Costa falls through.

That now seems unlikely with negotiations over the Brazilian-born Spanish international now at an advanced stage.

And that could see United emerge as the new front-runner for Falcao if Monaco are determined to offload the former Porto star this summer.

Louis Van Gaal is looking to overhaul his squad before taking charge next season and Falcao's signing would represent a huge statement of intent from the incoming Dutch boss.

It now remains to be seen where Falcao - who will miss the World Cup with a new injury - ends up, and the ripple effect that such a major transfer will inevitably have on the rest of the transfer window.
