Kyrie Irving is (probably) due for a max contract extension this summer, but if the Cavs are uninterested in giving the up-and-coming point guard such a deal, it is theoretically possible that they could move him in a trade. That’s an unlikely outcome, but can’t blame a few teams for checking in with Cavs GM David Griffin to find out, as they have been, according to FOX Sports’ Sam Amico:
#Cavs have fielded a couple calls about Kyrie Irving, league sources say. Given talk of max extensions, not surprising teams willing to ask.
