SACRAMENTO-

A woman was shot and killed in South Sacramento, and the murder suspect is still missing.

The shooting occurred at the intersection of Wah Avenue and Woodbine Avenue, just north of Florin Road.

The victim, 31, was shot once and was pronounced dead at the scene. Other family members of the victim were inside the home at the time of the shooting. After the shooting, the alleged shooter escaped in the woman’s car, and police are still searching for him. The car was later recovered.

Police currently do not know the relationship between the suspect and the victim, but believe it is possible that this was a domestic dispute. Family members of the victim have shown up to the crime scene in large numbers, and are devastated.

The intersection at Wah and Woodbine is expected to be closed for a while while police investigate the crime.
