ROSEVILLE-

Roseville Police say a woman was surrounded and assaulted by as many as seven attackers in the gaming area of John’s Incredible Pizza, and in full view of a packed house Feb. 22.

“Our detectives reviewed the surveillance video and they could tell there were several people surrounding the victim, and then two women who assaulted her,” said Dee Dee Gunther, spokesperson for the Roseville Police Department.

“I didn’t know who they were, or why they were doing this to me,” the victim said, under the condition on anonymity.

What she told police was she remembers getting punched in the face, and then repeatedly kicked and punched by a number of different assailants as she fell to the ground.  Her two nieces screaming at her attackers to stop, and then they were gone.

The women who allegedly attacked the victim were supposedly upset at the way she was talking to their kids.  Minutes before the victim had a mild confrontation with two boys in the laser tag area.  Then came the assault.

She hopes to press charges if her assailants get caught.  But right now, police don’t have much to go on.
