As the NFL season (and fall TV) creeps closer, NBC’s latest primetime preseason game helped give the network a nightly win among adults 18-49.
After a special Dateline (1.2 adults), the Bengals/Cardinals matchup fetched a 1.9 rating in the key demo in early returns. That’s off two-tenths of a point from last summer’s comparable game, which rose to a 2.7 demo rating in the finals.
Before adjustments for sports, CBS’ Big Brother led the Sunday pack with a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49. That’s up 14 percent from last Sunday and is a season high. Unforgettable (0.9 adults) and Reckless (0.5 adults) were steady.
Wipeout (0.7 adults) shed two-tenths of a point before the finale of Rising Star (0.9 adults). ABC’s singing competition made a quiet exit, in line with recent performances.
