The Vampire Diaries paid tribute to Sarah Jones on Thursday by dedicating the evening’s episode to her memory.
The 27-year-old camera assistant, who died on the Georgia set of Midnight Rider on Feb. 20 when she was hit by a train while shooting on the tracks, had worked on the CW series in 2012.
In the goodbye, which aired on the CW affiliate in Savannah, Ga., prior to the episode, a photograph of Sarah was displayed as music played and a farewell message scrolled on the screen, reported WSAV.
“This memorial is dedicated to Sarah Jones who tragically lost her life. The film industry will forever mourn her death. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. IN LOVING MEMORY OF SARAH JONES. 1986-2014.”
