Hey, all.

Thanks to everyone who showed last week; we had a great turn-out and a terrific discussion. To recap, we discussed having alternating round-table discussions and presentations each month with the goal of the round-tables to produce follow-up presentations on topics of interest to the group. There were quite a few good suggestions for topics, so I made a poll on Meetup.com to help us decide. ANSWER IT.

Additionally, we discussed holding a quarterly "What's new in PHP" talk, and I solicited ideas from the group about how to make the mailing list more valuable to everyone. I've discussed with others about having an "ask the experts" weekly feature, but that requires _other_ people to actually ask questions. Patrick Devins volunteered to start spamming us with links to stuff he finds useful (which is basically my whole Twitter strategy). What else would be helpful?

Along those lines, I hope no one has a problem with the occasional job postings and solicitations, but if you do I made another poll on Meetup.com about it. You know what to do. ;)

Additionally, I did the due diligence to setup http://blog.orlandophp.org as a Jekyll blog on Github (although I'd rather have Octopress, I think) instead of that Tumblog that no-one ever writes to. If you'd like to write an article (or handle the Octopress upgrade), please submit a Pull Request on Github!

Finally, here's an unsorted, unfiltered list of all the topics we rattled off. We need folks to step up and claim these talks and start crafting presentations.
