For the second time this week, an Elk Grove Pizzeria was robbed at gunpoint.

According to Elk Grove Police, employees at the Papa Johns pizzeria on Laguna Boulevard were confronted by a man wearing a bandana over his face and armed with a handgun demanding cash. After employees complied with the gunman's demands, the suspect fled the store.

Responding officers received information that the suspect fled towards a nearby greenbelt area. A  perimeter was established that included a helicopter, but after an extensive search the gunman was not located.

The suspect was described as a black male adult, 6'1", slender build, wearing a camouflage floppy hat, black bandana over his face with a dark colored hooded jacket. On Tuesday night a suspect with a similarly described appearance wearing a bandana over his face robbed at gunpoint the Little Caesers Pizzeria on Elk Grove Boulevard.

Elk Grove is going to become even more of a Hood once the three thousand plus low income housing units are completed.

Might be safer being the delivery guy instead of the counter person at this rate.
