American Ninja Warrior continues to enjoy a strong summer on NBC. With just a few weeks remaining in the season, the two-hour competition notched a two-plus-year high with viewers: 6.1 million. (That number could change when preseason NFL preemptions in the network’s Cleveland affiliate are taken into account.
Steady with its last original in the demo, averaging a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49, it was eclipsed by a steady outing of Fox’s MasterChef (2.0 adults) as the top-rated broadcast series (and network) of the night.
Running Wild With Bear Grylls (1.2 adults) took a three-tenths of a point hit leading into NBC’s Ninja coverage after last week’s bump. And on Fox, Hotel Hell (1.5 adults) was up by two-tenths of a point.
ABC saw Bachelor in Paradise (1.3 adults) down by two-tenths of a point and Mistresses (0.7 adults) suffer a three-tenths of a point hit. And on CBS, Under the Dome (1.5 adults) matched last week’s demo score and remained Monday’s most-watched series.
America’s Next Top Model returned to The CW, migrating from its Friday slot. It was just a shade down from last year’s premiere with a 0.5 rating among adults 18-49 following a steady Whose Line Is It Anyway?
