WEST SACRAMENTO-

Human bones found along the Sacramento River near West Sacramento last Friday belonged to a prehistoric Native American, according to the CSU Chico Human Identification Lab.

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office said last week that a runner spotted the bones and called the authorities.

The remains were only visible because the river’s water level is so low.
