Bones is coming back for a tenth season, but there was no word on whether the 21st Century Fox TV crime-comedy will see life after that.
Back in January, Fox renewed its Bones for a tenth and some think final season. At a Comic-Con panel filled with spoilers, the cast and showrunner were noncommittal over future seasons, instead focusing on the twists and turns expected in season 10, particularly the landmark 200th episode.

Executive Producer Stephen Nathan declared his enthusiasm to see Bones reach 20 seasons, but lead actor David Boreanaz, who plays FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, was careful not to commit to anything, instead remarking on how much he enjoys working in the moment.
Boreanaz and Nathan said the tenth season would be a testing one for Booth and Emily Deschanel‘s character Temperance “Bones” Brennan. They revealed that much of the drama will be taken up with Booth trying to survive in prison.

Nathan said the milestone 200th episode will be particularly unmissable for fans of the show and will be directed by Boreanz. Nathan said the 200th episode would be “one of our odd ones,” and wouldn’t feature a “typical murder.” Nathan added that Bones creator Hart Hanson would come back to help write the episode.
In addition, Nathan hoped to bring back Cyndi Lauper to play psychic Avalon Harmonia at some stage, but said the plans had not been confirmed.
