A report of a carjacking suspect led to a police standoff in Downtown Sacramento Saturday.

Around 6:30 p.m. Saturday police received word of an armed carjacking suspect possibly hiding in an apartment near 10th and Q Streets. SWAT, Hostage Negotiation Team (HNT) and K9 officers were called to the scene to assist with clearing out the apartments.

However, after a nearly four-hour standoff, officers were unable to find the suspect. The area was opened to traffic shortly after.

The suspect is still on the loose.
