USA Network is firming up the future for its summer series.
The cable network has renewed drama Satisfaction and canceled fellow rookie Rush, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Satisfaction, from Suits alum Sean Jablonski, stars Matt Passmore (The Glades) and explores marriage and infidelity. During its 10-episode freshman run, the drama averaged 2.21 million total viewers, factoring in seven days of delayed viewing and posting double-digit gains among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic when adding DVR returns. The drama, which hails from USA’s NBCUniversal sibling studio from Universal Cable Productions will be back for another run of 10 episodes.

“Satisfaction sparked a cultural conversation about modern love and marriage in today’s world,” USA president Chris McCumber said.
Medical drama Rush, which served as a lead-in for Satisfaction, starred EastEnders’ Tom Ellis in the series from Warm Bodies writer-director Jonathan Levine and Fox 21. Ultimately, the DVR returns for Rush — which hails from an outside studio and is more expensive — were not as strong as they were for Satisfaction, which is produced by in-house studio UCP.
Meanwhile, the future for comedy Playing House and summer dramas Royal Pains, Covert Affairs and Graceland have not yet been determined, though a renewal for Graceland is considered likely. The cable network is also readying four pilots: Carlton Cuse‘s Colony, starring Lost’s Josh Holloway; Jennifer Carpenter entry Stanistan; hacker drama Mr. Robot and telenovela Queen of the South.
Satisfaction joins a roster of originals at USA that also includes comedies Benched and Sirens as well as dramas Suits, White Collar and event series Dig, which was pushed to next year.
