Currently playing a pregnant astronaut in the CBS sci-fi drama Extant, Halle Berry told David Letterman on Monday that she believes there is life on other planets.
“I don’t believe we are the only species in existence. My ego doesn’t tell me that we’re the only ones who survived…it might take us 20 years to get to those other life forms, but I think they are out there.”

The Oscar winner told the Late Show host that viewers will have to wait at least 12 episodes to find out how her character became pregnant. “It could be the pool man,” she quipped, teasing the 13-episode thriller that premieres on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
Berry went on to help Letterman with the top 10 list, by presenting the “Top 10 Secrets to a Happy Marriage” as written by her six-year-old daughter, Nahla, including “dance and be happy” and “you need to kiss.”
Over on NBC, The Tonight Show returned for a week of new shows. Jimmy Fallon brought back his Neil Young segment with special guests Crosby, Stills & Nash.
What did the foursome sing? Iggy Azalea‘s hip-hop radio hit “Fancy,” of course.
24 star Kiefer Sutherland dropped by The Tonight Show to preview the finale of Live Another Day and recount just how many times his alter ego, Jack Bauer, yells his signature phrase: “Dammit!”

Seth Meyers reported on Late Night that an Australian company has launched a Game of Thrones line of wine, which guarantees you “won’t be able to remember anyone’s name” after drinking it.
Late-night regular and good sport NBC News anchor Brian Williams compared Fourth of July stories with Seth, making fun of him for sleeping in bunk beds with strangers in Europe over the holiday weekend. “I sat on a rock and ate sausage with a Swiss army knife,” Meyers admitted.
Williams went on to reveal that he is obsessed with pet adoption sites. “It’s like dog Tinder,” he said.

His next confession was of a having a vested interest in The Bachelorette, saying he and his wife have a viewing party with their daughter. “I can’t speak during the broadcast. As Juan Pablo divided us as viewers…now Andi has a huge choice to make, and the home visits will tell a lot,” said the surprise reality TV critic.
