The Voice has crowned a new champ.
Following Monday night’s final competition episode — which had the top three singers and the series’ first-ever “wildcard” contestant debut original songs and corresponding music videos — the season was narrowed down to powerful singer-songwriter Matt McAndrew, pop/R&B contender Chris Jamison, ballad master Damien and country rocker Craig Wayne Boyd. The first three singers hail from Adam Levine‘s team, while Boyd reports to Levine’s fellow veteran coach and champ, Blake Shelton.

After two hours of performances — including Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars‘ “Uptown Funk” (complete with Mars in gold curlers!), Ed Sheeran‘s “Thinking Out Loud,” Meghan Trainor‘s “Your Lips Are Moving” and Hozier‘s “Take Me to Church” — the winner of season seven was revealed.
Boyd took home the title. McAndrew was the runner-up, Jamison nabbed third place and Damien came in fourth.
The victory for Shelton’s boomerang singer (who was briefly stolen by Gwen Stefani and given a makeover before being stolen back by Shelton) gives the country coach his fourth win over seven seasons. After the announcement, Boyd reprised his original song, “My Baby’s Got a Smile on Her Face,” which was written by Mark Marchetti and Stephanie Jones, and originally written for Shelton.
Throughout the star-studded episode, Fall Out Boy sang “Centuries” with McAndrew, Jennifer Hudson performed “It’s Your World” with Damien, Lynyrd Skynyrd rocked “Sweet Home Alabama” with Boyd, and Jessie J shared “Masterpiece” with Jamison. The coaches also joined for “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” and the top 20 kicked off the show with Bastille’s “Pompeii,” among other onstage reunions.
