SACRAMENTO-

Darlene Belton hasn’t seen her 34-year-old daughter, Latrice, in more than a year. She vanished from the Oak Park area in May of last year.

“I just want somebody to tell me what happened to my baby.  I need closure. I need some closure in my life,” Belton said.

“But I know in my heart, she’s no longer here.”

That’s because Latrice would regularly check in with her mom to make sure she was alright.

“[She said] ‘I’ll call you before you go to class,’ and I never heard from her again,” said Belton.

A wall of pictures is all Darlene has left of Latrice, who also left behind five children.

Police are at a loss and hope the public can help; Latrice will turn 35 in two days.

If by any chance Latrice is still out there, Darlene is begging her to get in contact with her.

“Please call mama. I’m worried. I need to hear your voice. I need to see you,” the sobbing mother said. “Whatever you’re going through, mama’s gonna always be here, like I’ve always been here for you… just give me a phone call baby. Mama loves you so much.”
